On May 1st, 2013 Sierra Nevada College held its Senior Symposium, a collection of senior projects from soon to be graduating students.
A few weeks remain for students in the Experimental Psychology course at Sierra Nevada College to collect final pieces of data for a presentation of their findings for the Psychology Research Fair that will take place at 2 p.m. April 16 in the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences.
The Psychology Research Fair is the culmination of two semesters of work. Students take a course titled Research Methods in Behavioral Psychology in the fall where they chose a study that hasn’t been researched before. Students write a hypothesis and design an experiment. Their proposal must be submitted to the Institutional Review Board to have the ethical implications of the study assessed before they can proceed with the experiment.
