Parking will forever be an issue at SNC as long as the student population continues to grow. SNC needs more parking for students, faculty and staff in order to allow the population to grow. Parking should not be a limiting factor in the future.
Students choosing to opt out of the the school’s mandatory $125 parking permit were required to attend a parking grievance meeting on Oct. 3. It turns out the most difficult part of waiving the fee was finding the location of TCES 119. Several students had trouble finding the conspicuous room located in the rarely visited part of the TCES.
The crowded line of cars along Country Club Drive will disappear the next time it snows as Washoe County enforces a snow-day parking ban Nov. 1 – May 1. With the winter season approaching, the parking issues remain at Sierra Nevada College.
In response to parking issues on campus, a grievance committee has be created to address concerns.

Students pulling into the Sierra Nevada College parking lots for the new semester have been introduced with new parking regulations. A new parking system has been put into place, requiring students to purchase permits in order to park on campus.
